Mumbai’s Jehan Daruvala scores a historic win at Norisring in the Formula 3 European Championship
Till few days back, Jehan Daruvala’s CV read that he’s the first Indian to score a podium at the FIA Formula 3 Euro Championship. But something changed over this weekend and he will now have to do away with this statement. Because in his latest CV the statement will read “first Indian to take a win at the FIA Formula 3 Euro Championship”.
On 2nd July, the 18-year-old scored a brilliant win at the race 3 of Norisring round of championship. With this he closed the gap in the rookie championship down. The Mumbai boy is now just 20 points behind teammate Lando Norris. Born out of Force India’s One From a Billion hunt talent hunt, Daruvala has made progress year-on-year and poses a real chance of making it to Formula One in 2-3 years time. Let’s hope the boy from Dadar Parsi Colony continues the momentum and Indian fans get to realize their dream of watching an Indian driver in an Indian Formula One car.
For now, enjoy the highlights of his winning run in this video.
